Ratón Racing’s Lambo closes the tests with best lap time

The two days of testing at Barcelona concluded with great satisfaction for all the 19 cars present during the two days: excellent weather again and no major hiccup characterized the Saturday.

DAY 1 on Friday ended with a quartet at the top within less than 4 tenths: best lap time for the day was for Andrea Caldarelli on the SF Ferrari (1.45.819), followed by brother-in-law Vito Liuzzi on the FFF Lambo (1.45.945), Jesse Krohn on the Teo Martin BMW (1.46.072) and Marco Cioci on the AF Ferrari  (1.46.190). As reported yesterday, the Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 caught fire while driven by Olivier Beretta, enduring fatal damage, but the team could continue working with a spare-car.

DAY 2 on Saturday saw the SF Racing Ferrari of Andrea Caldarelli and Songyang Fu repeating itself for most of the day, despite losing its best time (1.44.115), posted in Session 6, for having cut the chicane slightly, by own admission of the Italian driver. In the last session, great battle for the best time, with Edoardo Liberati (Ratón Lambo) taking the advantage (1.45.257) over Liuzzi (1.45.416), Caldarelli (1.45.554), Cioci (1.45.608) and Krohn (1.45.726).  These were also the best times of the entire 2-day test.

The second Winter Testing event is scheduled at the Paul Ricard on 2-3 March.
