A wonderful sunny day concluded the Winter Test sessions at Circuit Paul Ricard. The excellent weather conditions and the good temperature allowed all teams to perform the scheduled work, with no major hiccups on track.
In these conditions, the fastest times were all set in the very last of the total eight sessions. Like in Barcelona, Brazilian pair Allam Khodair and Marcelo Hahn, with the Drivex Mercedes AMG, set the fastest time (2.01.709) beating clearly the competition, the Ferrari of brand new team Luzich Racing with WEC World Champion Alessandro Pier Guidi and Mikkel Mac and the Ombra Racing Lamborghini of Fernando Rees-Damiano Fioravanti. Both were left 0.9 behind.
Guatemala’s Andrés Saravia (Teo Martín Motorsport BMW) was fourth-fastest overall, after leading the rankings in Day 1 (2.02.345), preceeding the Rinaldi Racing Ferrari of Dominik Schwager-Rinat Salikhov (the fastest car under the rain at beginning of Day 1), the Luzich Ferrari of Alexander West-Michele Rugolo and the Kessel Racing Ferrari of Andrea Piccini.
Official tests are now over, and the GT Open will go back on track for the season-opener at Estoril in six weeks.
