GT Sport today announced the 2019 calendar of the International GT Open. While the number of events remains stable (7), the introduction of Hockenheim is the main novelty, further stressing one of the key characteristics of the series: all the venues are top-tier F.1 tracks, and all have great history.
This is the first time that the Hockenheimring, home of the German Grand Prix and first used in 1932, is included in the GT Open calendar.
The other notable change is the switch in dates between the last two rounds, Barcelona and Monza, breaking the tradition that had always seen the season’s finale taking place in Spain.
The 2019 calendar is as follows:
27-28 April: Circuit Paul Ricard (F)
25-26 May: Hockenheimring (D)
22-23 June: Spa-Francorchamps (B)
6-7 July: Hungaroring (H)
7-8 September: Silverstone (GB)
21-22 September: Barcelona (E)
12-13 October: Monza (I)
