Beautiful and warm weather welcomed the International GT Open on its first visit to the Hockenheimring, as the 24 cars entered took the track for the Friday’s two sessions of free practice and the Bronze test.
On a reknown power track, power cars, namely Lamborghinis and Mercedes, took the front positions, although 13 cars, representing four different brands, were covered by only one second in the final combined results.

Second-fastest was the SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes of Kenny Habul-Thomas Jäger, 291 thousandths aback, with the SPS Automotive Mercedes of Pierburg-Onslow Cole and the Lazarus Lambo of Di Marco-Pohler following.
Fifth-fastest was the car that topped session 1 in the morning, the other SPS Mercedes of Miguel Ramos-Fabrizio Crestani, which then broke its engine in session 2.
Another Mercedes, the HTP Motorsport of Alex Hrachowina and Martin Konrad, was fastest among Am cars, while Najiy Razak (Ombra Racing Lambo) was fastest in the Bronze test.
