Back on track! SPS Performance has tested at Hockenheim

Return to normal activity is starting, gradually but starting! SPS Performance Automotive has been one of the first teams to resume private testing, this week at Hockenheim. The new Mercedes AMG GT3 unit of the German squad was used at this occasion by several of the drivers participating this year in the multi-series programme of the team.

Among them, Christian Hook and Manuel Lauck, who will be taking part to the International GT Open, as announced earlier in the year, alongside Valentin Pierburg – Tom Onslow-Cole.

Team Principal Stephan Sohn commented: "Being allowed to be back at the race track is a good feeling, even though it was only for testing. In normal conditions, we would already be in the middle of the season’s action at this time. Sadly, the Dubai 24 Hours in January was the only race we were able to compete in 2020 so far. We hope to be able to resume the normal race activities pretty soon, but, of course, health is the main priority."
