Baron Motorsport and Kirchmayr-Baron to play local heroes at Red Bull Ring

The entry list of the International GT Open round in Austria gets further increased, and this time with an all-Austrian package, ready to play the ‘local hero’ role. Baron Motorsport will field a Ferrari 488 in the Am class for Ernst Kirchmayr and Philipp Baron, who is also the ‘boss’ of the team.

Vienna-based Baron Motorsport has been active for 28 seasons and has a close connection with the Prancing Horse. It has been very successful in Ferrari mono-brand competitions but has also participated to some of the great endurance races throughout the world (Le Mans, Bathurst, Daytona, Dubai…)

The drivers in action at Red Bull Ring have both a successful career in the Ferrari Challenges spanning over two decades, with Kirchmayr being the reigning champion (and also the winner of the World Final) of the Ferrari Challenge Europe Coppa Shell, and Baron having clinched the Ferrari Challenge Europe Trofeo Pirelli title in 2010.
