The 2021 season is gently warming up, although its official start, end of April, is still weeks away. The first key moment, though, will happen, in little less than one month: the official pre-season collective Winter Test is scheduled at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 18-20 March.
Entries are now open for the test, which this year will have a slightly different format. It will span over three days. The first two (Thursday 18 and Friday 19) will take place according to the usual format used in previous years: GT cars of the International GT Open and the GT Cup Open Europe will alternate on the track with the Euroformula Open cars, with each of the two groups having at their disposal a total of 8 sessions of 55 minutes each.
On Saturday 20, testing will continue with 5 additional sessions of 40 minutes each for each series. They will be spaced out by the runs aimed at establishing the Balance of Performance for GT cars ahead of the start of the season. More details will follow in due course.
