Bachler (Dinamic Motorsport Porsche) takes last pole of the year

It’s a very interesting grid for Race 2 in Barceona the one that came out of the last qualifying session of the season: Klaus Bachler signed his and Dinamic Motorsport’s maiden pole, as the Porsche posted the best lap time, in 1.43.785. He will share first row with Karol Basz (Olimp Racing – Audi), who was beaten by only 0s133 and is in perfect position to secure the Pro-Am crown.

“It was a good session, we have an excellent package together with Riccardo Cazzaniga and we’ll go for victory this afternoon, despite some handicap”, said the Austrian.

In second row will be Glenn Van Berlo (Oregon Team – Lambo, +0s362) and Alain Valente (Team GT – Mercedes, +0s382), while David Fumanelli (Kessel Racing – Ferrari, +0s547) and Robert Renauer (Herberth Motorsport – Porsche, +0s566 ) will share third row.

Bachler took the lead from Karol Basz in the middle of the session and could keep it also thanks to a red flag six minutes from the end, when Kiki San Nana (GetSpeed) went off track in turn 4.

It wasn’t the easiest session for the two candidates for the overall title. Points leader Benja Hites (Oregon Team – Lambo) was eventually 9th, while Nick Moss (Optimum Motorsport – McLaren) qualified 16th after a dramatic start of the session. The Brit’s car stopped along the track, with some kind of electronic glitch, and mechanics had to run to reset everything, with Moss losing almost half of the session.
