The Mercedes of GeetSpeed and Motopark and the Porsches of Car Collection shine in first day of Winter Test

The first day of the Winter Test at Barcelona took place in excellent weather and track conditions, allowing the GT Open contenders to take the most out of the four hours of track activity.

The best lap time of the day (1.39.819) was posted by the GetSpeed Mercedes of Anthony Bartone-Fabian Schiller in the morning session, shared with the GT Cup Europe cars. In this session, they beat the debuting Car Collection Porsche of Nico Menzel-Gustav Bergström by 0s535.

The German and the Swede, very consistent, were again second in the afternoon session, only 0s123 slower than the Motopark Mercedes #96, which posted the best time of the session in 1.40.213, with different drivers alternating at the wheel.  

Other cars in the top-5 of the two sessions included the other Car Collection Porsche of Hash-Fontana, the GetSpeed Mercedes of Valentin Pierburg-Aaron Walker, the AF Corse Ferrari of Hahn-Khodair and the debuting Good Speed Mercedes of Wira-Arrow.

The only incident worth to be reported was the off-track of the #777 Olimp Racing Audi, which hit the tyre protections in turn 12, with damage that should be repaired ahead of tomorrow’s second day of testing. Are not present the SVC Mercedes and the Pellin Racing Ferrari, the latter having been damages in a private test.
