Zengő Motorsport and Nagy to start their GT3 career in the GT Open at home round

Zengő Motorsport, the top racing team in Hungary, will make its debut in the International GT Open at their home round next weekend. This will mark also the debut in GT3 racing of the squad founded by Zoltan Zengő, so far known as one of the strongest forces in the international touring car racing scene and which now envisions its future in GT racing.

Zengő will enter a Mercedes AMG for Dániel Nagy (26), one of the young Magyar drivers brought up by the squad, who has a solid experience in TCR competitions (International, Europe, WTCC, WTCR).

Zoltan Zengő commented: "I am very happy that we can race in the International GT Open round in Hungary, and above all I would like to thank the organizers of the series for accepting us, as well as AMG Mercedes and our sponsors for making it possible. For the first time, we will go with this car under racing conditions, we will try to perform as best as we can. It was a big dream of ours to participate in this category, and it is a special pleasure that it is coming true in front of our home audience. The car will be driven by Dani Nagy, we have been working with him for a long time and I have the utmost confidence in him.”

Dániel Nagy stated: "It's been a dream of mine to race a GT3 car since I was a kid, and now it becomes true. Thank you very much for the trust to Zengő Motorsport, I think it's amazing that I can make my debut in this category with a Hungarian team, and moreover in front of our fans. It will be a very big challenge, practically as a team and as a driver it will be the first time with such a powerful car, which is completely different from the ones I have driven before. At the same time, this is a long-term project, we don't want to change the world in one weekend. I am excited and happy to be involved in this project and will do my best to learn quickly.”
