Lacorte to race at Paul Ricard in an AF Corse Ferrari in Cetilar Racing colours

10.07.2024

The next round at Circuit Paul Ricard is approaching and will see a number of novelties, one being the addition of one Ferrari 296 by AF Corse, in the blue livery of Cetilar Racing, a reputed name in endurance racing.

Knowing this, it is of no surprise that the driver at the wheel (racing solo and in Am) will be Roberto Lacorte. The expert Italian is racing in IMSA since a couple of years after a decade of success with LMP2 cars in the FIA WEC and ELMS.

Lacorte commented: “This will be a one-off, but I am delighted to take the opportunity, first because Paul Ricard is a track that I love and where I haven’t raced for a while, then because the International GT Open is a great series that I have always followed and I am very happy to discover it. On top, there is a more personal but no less important reason: my son Nicola is racing in the FRECA, which is part of the event’s race programme, and it will be fun to share the same race weekend, although each of us will be busy with his own business!”
