Saintéloc Racing to make GT Open debut in Monza with Blanchemain-Pla

11.10.2024

Another of the world’s top GT3 teams will make its debut in the International GT Open at the closing round in Monza: Saintéloc Racing. It will enter one of its Audi R8 LMS for the French Pro-Am pair Michaël Blanchemain-Jim Pla, already regular contenders in the series this year.

The French squad, based in Saint-Etienne, has been active in many areas (GT, rally and single-seaters) since its creation in 2004, and is mostly known for its successes in GT 3, with Silver Cup, Pro-Am and Am titles in the GTWCE and an overall win in the 2017 24 Hours of Spa.

Team Principal Sébastien Chétail commented: “We are delighted to join the GT Open in its closing round of the season in Monza. We have been following the series, which has expanded nicely in the last years and has become a very attractive platform for Pro-Am pairs, like Michaël and Jim, whom we know well and trust can be competitive at the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS. It will be an interesting opportunity for us to discover the GT Open live, with a view to consider including it in our racing plans next year.”
