Team Thor, the first-ever entry from Iceland in the GT Open

There will be an Icelandic entry in the 2025 International GT Open : Team Thor will field the Porsche 911 GT3 R seen at the Winter Test in four events (Algarve Paul Ricard, Red Bull Ring and Barcelona) in a beautiful Arctic colours livery. The team is assisted technically by High Class Racing, the well-know squad with Danish roots but based in Spain.  

At the wheel will be the Am pair composed of Audunn Gudmunsson (52) and Thorvald Gissurarson (55). The former has LMP3 experience in different continental series.

They will be the first Icelandic drivers ever seen in the GT Open, but as the two personable gentlemen put it, “We are used to being the first Icelanders in every international series we go!”
